Lactation Services

In the beginning, breastfeeding can be challenging, and the experience is different for each person. This is why Children’s Physicians offers certified lactation consultants to help moms feel more confident and relaxed with the breastfeeding process.

Our lactation consultants can help with issues such as:
• Breastfeeding education before delivery
• Finding the right breastfeeding position
• Latching problems
• Supply issues
• Infant weight loss
• Engorgement
• Soreness and painful feedings
• Feeding twins and multiples
• Maintaining milk supply after returning to work
• Pumping and storage of breast milk
• Reassurance and support

Each of our lactation consultants is a registered nurse certified by the International Board of Certified Lactation Consultants, the highest certification available for lactation consultants.
