Child Life Services

Sean's photo Child life specialists are specially trained professionals who support patients and their families in navigating and managing stressful healthcare experiences. Child life advocates for the psychosocial needs of patients and families and communicate these needs to the medical staff. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in child life or child development, as well as passing a national Child Life Certification Exam, are required to become a Certified Child Life Specialist.
