Admissions

For Referring Physicians, PA's or NP's requesting hospital admissions or to discuss a patient:

     

General Pediatric Admissions:
Request to speak with a Hospitalist-on-call.

NICU Admissions:
Neonatologist-on-call

PICU Admissions:
Intensivist-on-call

Surgery Admissions:
Pediatric General Surgeon-on-call

 

The following information should be given:

  • Name, DOB
  • Referring and Primary Provider
  • Your call back phone number
  • Diagnosis or concern
  • Method of transportation and ETA

Physicians’ offices will be responsible for
meeting insurance company pre-certification
requirements prior to admission.

The emergency room will provide triage for urgent, emergency or trauma admissions. The clinical review coordinator will assist with necessary certification.
   
ECMO  
ECMO services are provided for both neonatal and pediatric patients with severe respiratory and/or cardiac insufficiency that is unresponsive to mechanical ventilation and medical therapy. Staff are available 24 hours a day for professional consultation, patient transport, or provision of ECMO at 402-955-7901 for coordination of all unscheduled admissions.
